Ep47:The Brown Note

Episode 47 kicks off with Ryan talking for 47 hours about his job. Kidding. It was closer to 46. Luckily, his job as a male prostitute (gender of client) is compelling. Ryan sounds vaguely racist, but don’t worry, he hates white people too. Jonathan rants about his hatred for tv law enforcement dramas. Ryan dishes on his wife’s V-day present and gives plugs to two websites that don’t pay us any money. (He’s obviously a cheap ho’.) Jonathan receives an early birthday package from friend of the show AmyJ. Then JBell regales us with a preview of his coming weekend including a scheduled trip to see his friend Buddy’s performance with the Air Force’s Tops In Blue Tour. We stay with trombone talk as we jam out to a recording of Proletariat member Jessica Brown’s skills. The guys both preview Mardi Gras, and Jonathan breaks out his Mardi Gras schedule. He then opens up about how his 2 year old nephew needs serious nerd fundamentals education. Ryan discusses his Lovecraft love, which leads to an post-mortem intellectual property discussion. Jonathan sends out residuals karma, and Ryan discusses his role in Texas Killing Fields. Ryan is “nerling” on stuff, and his daughter (read: Ryan) wins the science fair. The show is topped off with a little more jazz from The Del City Community Jazz Orchestra, and we put it to bed. Night night nerds!

Episode 46 hits its stride this week. The guys talk hats, Halloween, and Halloween hats. Dictator deaths, Faces of Death, bad parenting and science fairs. Jonathan’s lumberjack experience, and his “wheelin’ and dealin’ “, as he puts it. The Nerd Marketplace is suggested and agreed upon… Shout-out to Proletariat member AmyJ for using our AMAZON CLICK THRU! Use it! Now! It’s right over there on the right side of the page. Do it, you know you wanna… In any case, Jonathan discusses his latest Amazon purchase. Flaccid aloe vera plants, and talk of venus fly traps. Jonathan gives us an update on his latest adventures in couponing. Our break-time music choice honors the lovely Ms. Etta James, may she rest in piece. Star Wars Dance Party, and its change of venue. George Lucas and his horse-abusive tendencies. The obligatory, but well-deserved, Game Of Thrones chatter precedes another mention of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo series. Super Bowl talk, albeit brief, and friend-of-the-show Jesse Meriwether gets a mention. Jonathan channels his inner fat kid, which may have turned into an outer fat adult. The guys move into some discussion of the illustrious Golden Girls tv show. Ryan gives Jonathan a congratulatory high-five over his Total Recall abilities. Ryan shoots his Apple load over the possibility of a new Apple TV. He then proceeds to give free stock tips. Bad reality tv and donkey shows, doth not equal good reality donkey shows. Ryan talks about some big blue balls, and Jonathan gives some “This Week In Nerd History”. The guys nerd out, and Episode 46 gets put to bed, as does Don Cornelius. God rest his SOUL.

Episode 45 welcomes in 2012, and the boys are back in town… or back on the air waves… or digital waves… whatever, we digress. Jonathan bellyaches about his bellyaches, and Ryan explains his holiday traditions involving the homeless, and as usual, it’s not what you think. Equine corn consumption, lice racing, and amputee jokes abound. Ryan discusses personal family crises, and plays the “I have a child” card. The guys have a consultation on consulting. Ryan and his wife give their daughter the “Best Christmas Ever”! Jonathan outlines the extravagant Christmas dinner he iron-chefed. Ryan updates us on his new job, and talks about the job security of his colleagues. “It’s the economy, stupid!” Old vs. Young, and modern day marketing of real estate. It’s more interesting than it sounds, we promise. Jonathan discusses his platform for breeding out racism, and the guys discuss potential and/or possible “New Years Resolutions”.  Also discussed is the size of the President’s balls. Ryan gives a brief, but effective explanation of S.O.P.A., and Jonathan points out some Republican hypocrisy, as he is want to do. Ryan lays out his plan for effective media operations. The guys nerd out for the first time this year, and a Geico theme closes out the show.

Stealing for the environment, and Jonathan gives some life rules and advice. Jonathan reviews the J. Edgar film from his “Son of a G-man” perspective, which leads into a socio-economic breakdown of the Twilight fanbase.
